Hey, I’m Veronica Crafton... 

I wanted to do more. I knew I could have a bigger impact, so I transitioned into the classroom as a special education teacher. I spent six years teaching elementary-aged students, many of whom had significant behavioral challenges. It was an awesome ride and I loved every moment!

Field trips in the community, advocating for inclusion, transitioning some students into less restrictive environments, training my paraprofessionals, building strong relationships with families and being voted Teacher of the Year were just some of the highlights. 

But still...I felt there was more for me to do!

I realized that my reach could extend far beyond my classroom. That’s when I founded Amazingly Uplifted, an educational consulting company based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Over the past 12 years, we’ve partnered with public, private, and charter schools to provide in-class training, professional developments, student support, functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans. Through this work, my team and I have supported countless teachers and students.

But still, I felt the need to serve children by serving those who love them most -  both parents and teachers! 

Here’s where Learning the Language of Autism comes in!

That’s why I became an author.

I wanted to take everything I had learned and put it on paper to help teachers and parents alike.

My first book, Learning the Language of Autism: An A-Z Guide for Parents and Teachers, is a dictionary-style resource featuring over 130 commonly used autism-related terms, providing information, implementation strategies, and inspiration for parents and educators.
